STRATO® EVA interlayers reconfirm excellence: 100% Made in Italy

Satinal achieves certification guaranteeing the origin and quality of its products

Satinal SpA, a leading Italian company in the safety glass industry, has reconfirmed the 100% Made in Italy certification for its STRATO® EVA interlayers. This prestigious recognition, issued by the Istituto per la Tutela dei Produttori Italiani (Institute for the Protection of Italian Manufacturers), guarantees the product’s origin and quality. It serves as a testament to Satinal’s commitment to achieving excellence through innovation, research, and continuous improvement.

STRATO®: the 100% Italian EVA interlayer

The 100% Made in Italy certification for glass interlayers covers more than just the origin of raw materials—which are certified as Italian—it encompasses the entire production process. This begins with traceability, ensuring every product is identifiable via a progressive reference code and an anti-counterfeiting hologram.

The quality of materials is a fundamental pillar of this certification, requiring the exclusive use of high-quality natural materials. Furthermore, the production of STRATO® interlayers takes place entirely within Italy: the full production cycle is carried out strictly in the country under rigorous quality controls.

Advantages for professionals and architects

For those operating in the fields of architecture and engineering, Satinal’s reconfirmed 100% Made in Italy certification is synonymous with reliability and excellent technical performance. STRATO® interlayers offer numerous benefits, most notably:

  • Colour uniformity and exceptional stability: ensuring laminated glass maintains consistent tones without chromatic variations.
  • Long-term UV protection: capable of absorbing and blocking over 99% of uv rays, thereby improving the overall durability of interior environments.
  • Safety and acoustic insulation: ideal for both indoor and outdoor applications, including laminated safety glass and curved structures.

Strategic vision and the future

Since 2017, Satinal has chosen to focus on an entirely Italian production model, remaining competitive against Asian markets through strategic investments and a short, certified supply chain.

Satinal currently operates four specialized production lines for EVA glass interlayers and a logistics and production hub in the Bari industrial zone. Looking ahead, the plan for the next two years includes further scaling up interlayer production and developing advanced machinery for glass lamination.
